Jackie is a dynamic powerhouse Canadian Singer-Songwriter from Debert, Nova Scotia performing a Queens of Country One Woman Show throughout Canada and to worldwide travelers at sea for several weeks at a time.
Jackie became inspired at the age of 12 from watching the movie, “Coal Miner’s Daughter”. This movie had a huge influence on Jackie’s music career at such an early age where Loretta Lynn became her idol and Jackie taught herself how to play guitar and began writing music.
Throughout Jackie’s mid 20s, she began performing solo, singing hit songs by the legendary Queens of Country. Jackie then fronted the band Nighthawk, adding 50s and 60s music to her show while she performed traditional country music. Jackie later fronted bands such as Sierra; Sweet Revenge; Eldorado, and has shared the stage with Rawlins Cross, Cindy Church, Doris Mason, Lisa Brokop, and the Kilted Chef. Jackie has also performed on CTV’s Christmas Daddies, Breakfast Television, The Downeaster Jamboree Show, and local cable shows.
During the two-year pandemic, Jackie released her first song that she recorded as an online tribute to the Province of Nova Scotia shortly after the April 18th–19th, 2020 Colchester County tragedies. “I’ll Be Right Home To You” received radio airplay and was written by Bob Robichaud. This song was going to be featured in a March 2020 showcase in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, USA, which was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Jackie’s Show takes you through a time travel of music, saluting the legendary country classic legends, to 50s & 60s, rock n’ roll, today’s country music, to pop and original music. Her show includes the number one hits that you know and love from Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Kitty Wells, Dolly Parton, Juice Newton, Linda Ronstadt, Anne Murray, Lynn Anderson, Shania Twain, songs from the 50s & 60, original songs and more!
Jackie performed at Atlantic Canada’s First Ever Historic 2021 Tour for the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association game that was held in Nova Scotia at Truro’s Rath Eastlink Civic Centre singing the bilingual version of our Canadian National Anthem at the Opening Ceremonies and performed her one woman show for three days.
This year, saw Jackie stepping aboard the MV Atlantic Vision performing one week shows every night at sea sailing from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Argentia, Newfoundland. She also performs on MV Fundy Rose sailing from Digby, Nova Scotia to Saint John, New Brunswick. Jackie performed at the Fox Mountain Country Music Festival headlined by Lisa Brokop which lead to an invitation for Jackie to perform her Queens of Country Show as a special guest at the Mini Hank Snow Tribute in Liverpool, Nova Scotia; and most recently, Prince Edward Island just selected Jackie Putnam to perform as Patsy Cline doing several upcoming shows in late November called “A Christmas Night With Patsy Cline”.
Jackie’s debut album, “The Phoenix” will be released June 2023 and her original songs are a reflection of her life experiences. Her writing styles range from country, pop, rock to gospel, something for everyone!
